Last updated: 23 August 2026

Welcome to Timachin. Timachin is a platform for providing, storing, and sharing information, materials, and content related to history, culture, costume, props, and related topics.

Timachin allows members to contribute content, take part in discussion, and in some cases, business members may introduce products and services that fit the platform’s scope.

By accessing Timachin, creating an account, submitting content, commenting, or using any feature, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to follow the Terms and Policies below.

Scope

These Terms apply to every individual, organisation, and business that uses Timachin, regardless of how they access the platform or how much they use it.

If Timachin has not yet detected or acted on a violation at a given time, that must not be read as a waiver of the right to act on it later.

  • Follow Timachin’s Terms of use and policies.
  • Follow applicable law.
  • Follow Timachin’s Code of conduct.
  • Respect the lawful rights and interests of other members.
  • Take responsibility for the content, information, images, products, or services you provide.
  • Accept the moderation team’s measures when a violation occurs.

Member accounts

2.1. Registration

Members must provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information when registering or using an account.

  • Do not impersonate another person, organisation, or business.
  • Do not use false information to mislead other members.
  • Do not use an account to break the law.
  • Do not let someone else use your account to avoid Timachin’s enforcement measures.

2.2. Account security

Members are responsible for protecting their login details and other authentication information.

Activity arising from an account may be recorded to support operations, security, and enforcement.

If you notice signs of unauthorised access, notify Timachin as soon as possible.

2.3. Account action

Timachin may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account that violates these Terms, the Code of conduct, or applicable law.

Timachin allows members to contribute content that fits the platform’s purpose. Members are responsible for the legality of the content they provide.

  • Articles
  • Images
  • Source materials
  • Reference information
  • Notes
  • Comments
  • Content related to history, culture, costume, props, and other suitable topics

3.1. Moderation does not remove the poster’s responsibility

If Timachin has reviewed, approved, or published a piece of content, that does not mean Timachin confirms ownership, origin, accuracy, or absolute legality of that content.

Members remain responsible for the content they provide even after Timachin has reviewed and published it.

If a published item is later found to raise issues of copyright, intellectual property, or a third party’s lawful rights, Timachin may hide it, remove it, or apply a suitable measure.

Content reviewed by Timachin must still not infringe copyright, intellectual property, or any other lawful rights of a third party.

  • Contains malware, harmful links, or content that may affect user safety.
  • Breaks other rules in the Code of conduct or Timachin policies.

4.1. Member responsibility

Members may post content only when they have the right to use it or to provide it on Timachin.

If the content belongs to a third party, the member must have the necessary right or permission before providing it to Timachin.

  • Copyright
  • Related rights
  • Intellectual property rights
  • Image rights
  • Privacy rights

  1. Receive and review the request.

  2. Hide the content during verification when needed.

  3. Ask the poster for information or evidence of their right to use it.

  4. Remove the content if a violation is found or there is a reasonable basis to do so.

  5. Apply measures to the violating account.

Licence to use member content

Members keep their lawful rights in content they create or own.

By submitting content to Timachin, members grant Timachin the licence needed to operate the platform.

Members are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient rights to grant that licence.

This licence does not mean Timachin becomes the owner of a member’s content.

Accuracy of information

Timachin aims to provide a useful source of information on history, culture, and related topics. Information on Timachin may be contributed by many individuals, organisations, or businesses.

For members who use Timachin as a business, commercial organisation, or provider of products or services, the general Terms still apply, and they must also follow the rules that apply to their business activity and offerings.
